Our absolute favourite lakes
The two lakes of Monticolo are located in the middle of the 100 ha nature reserve of the Forest Monticolo. The great water quality and the undeveloped shores make the two lakes a must-see bathing stop in Appiano. It could hardly be more idyllic! And best of all: a hiking trail leads directly from the hotel to the lakes in 6 km. Of course, you can also easily reach the lakes by car or bike.

The largest and probably also best-known South Tyrolean bathing lake and the warmest Alpine lake is located in Caldaro. The idyllic location in the middle of the vineyards makes the lake a special photo motif. You can reach the lake in 13 km by car, on the cycle path or on foot through the Forest of Monticolo.

Ideal for those seeking peace and quiet
A winding mountain road leads from Cortaccia to Favogna at 1060m. In summer, the lake reaches bathing temperatures and is ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the valley. Distance: 33km

The Lake Fié is located at an altitude of 1,036 m above sea level between green fir trees and a fantastic mountain backdrop. In summer, the idyllic lake invites you to take a refreshing dip. Ideal to end a day of hiking on the well known Alpe di Siusi.
